Images of the 2012 Husky enduro bikes on Aussie mag Trans Moto's web site. http://www.transmoto.com.au/publish/bikes/9146900/First-look-at-2012-Husqvarna-enduro-range Looks like black painted frames and new graphics are the only changes No 350/60 2 stroke, No DI, No coaxial drive on any new bikes. That last one doesnt surprise but did think there might have been a 350 comming. Ahh well let's see what another 12 months brings.
I'm not really surprised either ... After seeing the push on the street models and reading the article on the bmw boss, this seems about in line ..now we need to read the specs and see if something like gear ratios might have changed .... I'm happy with the current looks of the machines for 011 and 012 Having bikes state side early will help a great deal ...
Other than a redesigned 250/300 2T, there isnt a lot that Husky needs to do to keep their lineup competitive. I was told 2yrs ago but a Husky IT Mgr that we would see a new 250/300 2T EFI in MY13. Expanding the lineup to street bikes seems to be the priority right now. I hope it doesnt blow up in their face like it did with KTM.
Apparently EFI on a 2t bike is not trivial ... Not alot of examples to copy from either ... bmw does have credentials in the street bike market and that should help here... even if not here but in EU ...
Huh? KTM is very successful with the 950 / 900 no? Thats the market the new 900 should be competing in.
Ask a KTM dealer how successful they have been in the last couple of years. The 950s are welded to the floor in most shops up here.
OK. Well i guess I mean i see them all over the place down here and all over ADV. Seems like there are piles of them out there. I just read an article in a dealer mag saying this market is one of the larger growing ones. I think BMW's own GS is a good seller no?
the '12 TC250 sure looks serious.... I wonder how the performance will be with the new cylinder? Anything concrete on release dates?
