    Available in September in Europe...

    New head, Keihin fuel injection and new exhaust apparently gives approx +4bhp over 2011.

    Keihin is the best word I have heard come out of husqvarnas mouth in a long time. It's about time they ditch that Mikuni setup and join the rest of the world. Put this head and FI on a 2012 TXC 310 and I'm all over it.

    yep... was thinking about the 449, but this will be in my garage for 2012.... regardless of release date.... I will exercise restraint if needed, but I really hope Husky gets them out sooner than later.

    the new head looks to be a full cam chain design instead of the chain to gear to cam set up. less rotating mass. I love La Testa Rossa!!!

    Don't think so although not 100% sure. The TXC is normally Enduro spec engine with MX chassis and the 2012 TE250 doesn't have the new head.

    The new head was designed with MX in mind to allow for larger valves and room for larger valve springs to take advantage of the constant higher rpm's. I have done work with the original head and with fixing the porting and changing the (as far as I am concerned) poor choice of cams, the engine really comes alive.
