I have a Scotts damper on my KTM and really like the unit. My plan for the CR 125 is to use it at a few select races where the trails are very tight and twisty----one of those races also has a LOT of rocks so I am wanting a damper. Not real crazy about the underbar mount since I'll be using Flexxbars so the height increase can't be compensated for. I like the Scotts weld-on idea but it only seems available up to 2009 models. Has anyone mounted a "2009 and older" weld-on kit onto the newer frame? Any issue with the install?

I've tried to no avail to reach Motosportz via e-mail but none of my messages get answered. Has any one mounted a Motosportz damper? If so, how is the tank clearance? I'll be running an IMS 2.5 gallon tank.

    Thanks

I have a motosportz damper on my 09 wr125, with the oversized IMS tank. They are about as close as they can be, without touching. The fit is absolutely perfect.

My first Husky was an 11 TE so I don't know much of anything about the brand before that year. I believe that the CR got a new frame in 09 or 10---correct? Just wondering as the Motosportz site lists a kit for 09-11----was there some sort of frame change in 2012 that makes the 09-11 damper not work?

EDIT: Also, how much of a rise did the Motosportz unit give to the bars?

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that, but I'm sure someone with the answer will be by shortly!

You might find it hard to get a lot of damper experiences reports on this type of bike as they don't need really a damper in the first place

I never rode a bike so maneuverable yet so stable at all speeds in the front

I would throw the money into the suspension department to get that absolutely perfect (which is also pretty good as it comes from factory)

What Name are you connecting Motosportz under, I am not seeing it. Looked in my spam filter as well.

We do have an under bar, can do over but you would need a weld on post as we don't make a tall overbar post for the newer bikes but do have the top mount clamps. The underbar raises the bars .850". PM me if you need more info etc.

    Thanks

My 165 does not "need" a damper ether but it sure makes blasting through rock gardens EZer, makes the bike feel far more planted, holds a line EZer, helps with trail wonder and whisky throttle when tired, makes you less tired at the end of the ride. IMHO.

Yeah, that's the address it went to---I got it from clicking on the "contact us" link on your web site but it opens up the microsoft word editor window to send the message---I never have trusted that thing. The message is from James Williams

Exactly!!! With a bad shoulder I have to do everything I can to make the bike more stable in the rocks. If I didn't need a damper, then I wouldn't be spending $350ish on Flexxbars either.

 are these flex bars that expensive?

I did see them but never looked into the price of it.

Get a new Shoulder (Hemi Arthroplasty) , I got two ! Fast recovery and love the results. Each took only about 12 weeks before I was racing.
