Kurt is the 2013 NHHA Champ!!! Wooo hoooo! Congrats to D. Pearson and Ivan Ramirez on a great race today too! From the left (hopefully I get this right), Chris Blais, Dean Potts, Patty Blais, Unkown, Kurt Caselli, Ivan Ramirez, Unknown, Antti Kallonen, Anthony DiBasillo. (Sorry unknowns, I don't know you :P )
For all you guys that could not make the trip it was one of the best this year.Wait till I post the video tonight. On the line the sun was shinning then out of noware the sky open up and it was hailing and raining on the bomb run. Then a few miles later we were in a flood in the washes. Then a few miles later it was clear and dusty. Was like that most of the day on and off Then the last 15 miles was in a big down pour with a river to go down to the finish. Most different weather I have ever raced in That is why I say the AMA National Hare and Hounds are one of the best and hardest to win a champship There are 10 races in 4 western states all different weather and terrian We race everything from open desert to high mountian trees with everything from snow, rocks, sand, water ect As for my Husky never a DNF since 2006 and going into the last race in Oct I have a 22 point lead on second So just maybe the Husky 300 will pull off another National #1 plate For us old guys As for Kurt he is a True Champ We will miss him next year as he move up to doing Dakar type rallies For the Factory KTM team Now it is time for Husky to get Kendal Norman and Jake Alubright on board as they were the only 2 guys i know who ever beat Kurt. Husky could be # 1 again
Young Ivan Ramirez (Jr) is right there as well, and is a nice well spoken kid (in both Spanish and English), with the marketing power of getting the strong (Baja and SoCal zone) Mexican fan market all on board the KTM brand. Oh I'm sorry John you/re talking Husky brand here. (haha). PS great job Ajax, your dedication is admirable. The races are always hard, the logistics are arguably harder, it takes lots of commitment to make all the shows.
Ivan is a nice guy But he is already a KTM guy Kendal norman is like a rock star in Mexico with his fan base there. He also has beat Kurt hands down and is also a former National # one .Jake is young and has already proven he is also fast winning round 8 in Reno and a few seconds this year We need a Husky win As for Ivan he was on my right off the start and Nic Burson was on my left Talk about starting in the middle of fast. But that only lasted about 10 seconds as they both were gone. As for logistics yes you are correct Idaho is almost 2,000 miles round trip Utha is 1000 miles round trip and this last weeken in Pacana Nevada it was 900 miles round trip The local ones in Lucern are only 200 miles round trip But worth all it take to ride them Maybe next year will get a new Husky and get some of those Husky bucks to help out
