Had my first off road race this weekend and new bike with all the mods worked out great. I rode bike last year in last race as a stock wr125 and work well but was missing the 165 modded feel like old bike felt like. 250 strokes and 450 were no doubt pulling me but got 5 place and ended up 2nd in series for year. This year I moved up to master which is a lot faster class and thought looking at the line of bike and riders at the start I might be a ittle over matched. Well the little husky did great handles better than old bike and I was not feeling like I was under powered just perfect amount. Thanks for all the help getting bike dialed in and sure glad I bought one of the last old small bore huskys and will be keeping it for a long time. Couple guys I beat were on new huskys (ktm) and were asking after race about my bike and they never new that husky made a 165? Haha. image.jpg

Good job! I too had my 1st race on my CR165. Was a muddy try to finish race for sure. I was a little worried my 13/46 gearing was a little tall but it worked great. Worked my way up to 3rd in the +50A

I am running 1/4 vpc12 with 3/4 premium my compression is 195 psi on this 165 my old 165 had 210 psi. I am running a 12/50 gearing and also did on old bike for years seems to work out good for tighter off road riding.
