Got the 144 motor and suspension back from Pro Circuit yesterday, and wasted no time putting it back together. Can't with to ride tomorrow in the sand. Race next week, Loretta's qualifier in a few weeks, and then a summer of fun!

I'll let you know after a few rides. If i don't like it as much as my YZ125, i just go get another YZ, but i like what i see so far

Well the break in went good, even got a little track time. one thing i will say is Husqvarna has no idea how to jet a bike. They recommend the stock jetting and it's not even in the ball park, we are talking 5 sizes on the pilot alone. Any way the 144 rips from top to bottom after jetting was taken care of, and very easy i might add, going to put it through a 20 min moto tomorrow and see how she does. One thing i can tell so far is that it does handle (corner) better than my YZ's but it feels a lot taller, i'll see how that translates on the track tomorrow.

yeah it was so rich it was studdering like crazy, wouldn't get into the mid range it was so bad. I went down to a 37.5 and moved the needle and leaned out the main and it ran like a monster. Has a lot of torque over the 125, and keeps pulling and pulling

Yeh the needle height seems to make a big difference to stuttering . You may find you can go smaller on the pilot

Yeah it was a little cold so i didn't want to go to low especially during the break in. My YZ's had the same carb so i am very familiar with it.

That's crazy. My 11 had a 35 and I dropped to a 30 because it was as you described. I went 30 p, 1 notch rich on the needle and 450 main. That fixed all the problems it had when I got it.

Ray i agree, i mean who install a 50 polite? I've been racing for over 30 years and have never had one that big come stock in a bike. One thing that pissed me off to no end was when i was draining the coolant, i went to loosen the coolant drain bolt and it would barely move. When i finally got it out and shined my light in the hole you could tell it was crossed threaded and chewed the the inner threads up pretty good. Not a big deal cause i just tapped it and put it back in, but it was done like that at the factory when it was assembled.

Well just put in 3, 20min moto's on the 144. It's a good motor, runs very strong mid to top, lacks a little on the bottom, but better than stock. It ran great on the MX track, but took some work to rip it up on the arenacross track. So overall i pretty happy, some things i like better over the Yamaha, and some things i think the Yamaha does better at but overall a good bike. I'll go down a tooth on the front to give it a little more pop on the bottom and that's about it, the Pro Circuit suspension is great, i have the works kit with the cartridges in the forks witch if you are a faster guy there's nothing like it, the shock is good also with the works kit, but needs a little tweeking to get it perfect. So not a bad day riding, looking forward to the 2day race this weekend.

    Many. Too many.
Suspension details, please! Mods/price. Also what you weigh and what class you race, if you don't mind, so I have a frame of reference. I'm considering having them do my suspension, but already like the stock stuff better than any stock stuff I've moto'd.

I got their (basic) works kit (not the SFF)and not just your run of the mill revalve and spring job. They did springs, valving, works bladder cap kit, Works Shock pistons, and internal Works cartridges for the forks, maybe some things i'm forgetting. $1500 with shipping. I weigh 135, and ride the +30B class, and also race Arenacross, though i haven't raced Arenacross this year. I'm also pretty short so they did some extra mods because of the tall stature of the CR. I have had all the big name companies, Race Tech, Factory Connection, RG3, PR2, Pro Action, MB1, and these Pro Circuit forks are the best i have ever had. Now take into consideration i only have about 1 hr on them, but the faster you go the less you feel. The shock feels ok right now, MB1 and PR2 do great shocks, i think i will have a better feel of the shock once i get some time on it and make some adjustments. Hope that helps
