    Picked-up a 2014 TE310R.
Had TXC310 map set by dealer as well as airbox and muffler work. Bike rips! I was stupid to tell them to throw away the airbox restrictor, should have made an airbox cover to wash bike with!
    13/40 is stock gearing. Ordered 50T rear+chain.
Anyone installed HDB handguards with undermount scotts damper??? That is the setup I want!
    Whish list:
    IMS tank
    radiator guards
    shark fin(s)
    seat concepts
    zip-ty magnetic plug
    ....
    Please chime in!

I have the HDB handguard setup but with the Motosportz damper. Get in touch with HDB about running a Scotts because I think you will need some adapters. I think BRP makes some stuff but Paul from HDB needs to give you a list of parts prior to you ordering to avoid hassles. The Motosportz fits under the bar and they are great to work with and a huge Husky supporter. Welcome to the Cafe

I spoke to both scotts and hdb before I bought anything. I already have a scotts damper, so I went that route.

The scotts damper mount was a bit intense as I had to remove a fair bit of weld from the frame to be able to make the collar sit correctly around frame steering head tube. It got to a point where I decided I wasn't going any further. So I ground a bit off the collar itself. Even then the clearance was super tight!

Even with everything I did and the 2mm spacer (raises the top triple clamp) that came with the mount kit, I still had to remove a bit from the nut that secures the bottom part of the handlebar clamp to the top triple clamp and a bit from the bolt that squeezes the collar around head tube.

But now it's all good and ready for the hdb handguards to get bolted on.

7602 racing for the rad guards and rotor guards . Simply the best and supporter of this site ! Also check with Husqvarna to make sure your starter gears have been updated ( worm and flywheel ) . Make sure your tank bolt isn't hitting the coolant hose on the left side of engine . I personally would ditch the stock hoses for silicone hose kit .

Reveille, please show us a pic of the HDB setup, complete. I'm not so interested in the damper, although it would be great to have, but I would like to see how the bars get around the clutch valve and wires. I have HDB on several bikes, but it looks like all that stuff on the clutch side would interfere with the guard bars. Does the top mount get them forward enough to miss everything?

And, did you keep your Magura bars or change them out to some pre-tapped units from HDB?

My second mod was a Seat Concepts saddle; new this afternoon.

The first mod was a custom side stand so my old bod can get on and off the bike.

Looks like the HDB fit fine! I have a call in to them so I can get a set ordered. This will be the third set in my garage.

I did have to massage them a tad to get a perfect fit to my bars but I have had to do that to every set of hand guards I have installed. I have Protaper RM mid Windham bends for reference. I also had them on the OEM bars with no issues either. The stock bars bent pretty easy so I now run Protaper EVO's. The EVO's were a bear to tap the bar ends because they are made out of some really tough alloy.

Reveille, what is the red lever on the clutch side? Cold start? My 13 doesn't have that, and I was thinking that 13 and 14 were essentially the same.

Yes cold start high idle. If you don't have one then you will have even more clearance. The pre 13 models use Mikuni EFI and you have Keihin EFi and a slough of other changes.

My bike and yours (2014) have a knob on the throttle body itself. I have not yet used it to start the engine.

You are right! I remember now being shown that knob when the bike was delivered. I haven't needed it yet either, but then it hasn't been cold here and is not liable to be until next Winter some time.

    RE: Knob on Throttle Body

    From the owners manual:

    "COLD START

The motorcycle is equipped with a knob (1) positioned on throttle body for cold start. Pull the knob towards the outside to activate the starter, and on the opposite direction to deactivate it."

And all this time I thought that to meant the starter should not engage unless the knob is pulled. However, mine will start without pulling the knob. :excuseme:
