Can't check my bike, at the moment, but this is from the manual:

The main fuse protects all power consumers of the vehicle. It is located in the starter relay housing under the main air filter box lid.

ok,i dont think its water .it will start every time but only run for a minuite.you can hear it sputter a little, then it will die and not take any throttle.these intermitent problems can be hard to find and this one is driving me nuts.all i did was check the valves, didnt even adjust any of them.i really dont want to take it to the dealer but if the relay doesnt fix it i may have to unless someone here can help.it did give a fuel pump relay code once but now its not giving anything

What you should check is the connections to the ecu and from the pick up The ecu switches the fuel pump on when you crank the bike and then keeps it going as long as it gets a signal from the pick up.
Something is wet there in one of these connections. Open the connectors, spray contact cleaner and blow out with compressed air.
When all good lube the connectors with dielectric grease.

ok,when you say pick up are you talking about the coil?i blew out the ecu connector today but will get some contact cleaner and dielectric grease tomorrow and do that.but im unsure what the pickup is.thanks for the help

On the left hand side of the bike if you look at the fly wheel cover you see 2 sets of wires coming out of the engine casing and are cable tied together on the clutch hydraulic line.
One has 3 wires in it and that's the alternator, the other 2 green and red from memory, that one is the wires coming from the pick up. The pick up is a magnetic sensor that is triggered by a magnet on the flywheel to tell the ecu the engine is at TDC. as long as the ecu sees that signal it fires the engine and actuates the fuel pump.
On a different note also check wires, connectors to the engine kill switch. The switches are not that solid and fail sometimes too if water gets inside.

If at this point you don't think its water getting to anything. Sounds to me like a fuel delivery issue. As you said it will start every time, run for about "a minute", which means it's getting spark and then you "hear it sputter". You also said it "won't take any throttle. (Fuel).

Disconnect the fuel lines quick connect and clean or replace the small fuel pre filter insert opposite of the tanks fuel line and quick connect.

Then try to get it to run just to rule that out. I would do that first before tearing into the bikes side cover or looking for anymore wet connections.

    What he said^^^
You can also spray out the filter with carb cleaner in a pinch if you don't have a spare handy.

i have already took the tank off and cleaned the filter.it also has the ziptye racing filter.it will take throttle but still eventually dies.i was assuming from the open fuel pump relay code i got that one time that something is cutting the voltage from the relay.i have a new relay coming tomorrow but skeptical that that is the cause.i wish it would throw another code .im in the process of cleaning those connectors and putting dielectric grease in them its got to have something to do with what i did when i checked the valve clearances but cant find it

im really not wanting to tear into that nest of wires but may have to.or take it to the dealer an hour and a half away to see if they can diagnose it
thought about dirty injector but i dont think it would start
what will drop or cut the power to the relay??ecu?a sensor?

ruled out the kill switch and the relay isnt opening when it dies or at least you cant feel it.the green and red wires from the pickup are going to what i assume to be the coolant temp sensor, but the connectors looked good.could it be loosing tdc signal for some reason?
sometimes it dies as soon as you crank it and others it will run just long enough to make you think its fixed lol

The wires from the pick up go to the ecu, as explained above the signal from the pick up is used by the ecu to time the ignition and to keep the fuel pump going.
When the engine stops = no signal from pick up = kill pump to avoid fire and spill.
When pushing the starter button the pump gets primed and then the pick up signal needs to be there to keep it going.

I must have lost the wires while trying to trace them. I really appreciate a place like this to help with problems. I haven't found it yet but I will. I'm going to look at the field filters and clean them. Also put the new relay on. If that doesn't work I guess I'll start pulling all those wires out from around the throttle body. I just think it's water or the filters because it's not throwing any codes. Also going to find the tip over sensor and look at it.

Tip over sensor? If you actually have one, ditch it along with any other goofy epa garbage...

Yes could be this too, matches the symptoms! Don't know where it is on this bike, you need to have a look for it.

Did you check/adjust the valves? water on/in air filter?

i checked the valves.didnt have to adjust them.i probobally got the fuel pump connector wet when i washed it.i didnt cover it up.
i checked the fuel pressure today and am unsure of the results.the needle would start jumping around between say 45 and 55 psi, when the motor would miss and not die it would become still for a split second, when it died the pressure was still up to 50 psi but in an hour it was down to 30 psi(just letting it sit not running)it seems to be getting worse also, sometimes it doesnt want to start now.im thinking its the fuel pump or regulator.i have an appointment in 3 weeks at the dealership.i would really like to avoid that but the fuel pump is pricy to be just taking a stab at it.i think if it was a sensor or ignition related it would throw a code so, not to many more options.
