    Hi gang!

    I sold my 2008 RM250 MX bike.
    I bought a 2015 FE501S.
    I ride mostly 60%enduro 40% mx track.

So the problem that I have is justifying the acquisition of a FC450 to satisfy my mx needs since I already have a FE501S (desmogged, full fmf exhaust and the 'open' ecu map flashed). Is this plan of mine justifiable in light of already having a FE501S?

I really want an mx bike again tho.

I like the FC450, it has fast snappy power and we race it in the desert and at the WORCS races. It's a great bike. The 501 has a heavier crank that produces tractor like torque coupled with a wide ratio transmission. We use our 501 for long distance desert races and dual sport rides. Both bikes are great, I don't think you made a bad decision either way. Besides, with the addition of a fuel tuner/tuning, sprocket ratios, you can make the 501 snappy and responsive very similar to the FC450.

Hmmm, ok, so basically there is no gray area where the 501 can be (tune + sprocket sizes) without some work being done to it prior to riding it depending on my needs for that day?

Looks like I might have to get a FC450 too :D or an equivalent MX bike....FC450 is an expensive bike :(
