I'd like to know also. I have a 2014 501 and would like to run the newest Baja Designs light that will fit the 2015 mask.

looks like the headlight connector is different. Have to swap front fender like Rob said and fab or purchase one of those KTM fender brackets for the new style. Other than that, looks like a pretty straight forward install

We've installed a few of the Baja designs lights on the '15 s and it is a pretty sweet setup- little heavy but insanely bright.

Been running the Baja Designs XL Pro on my 2015 for a while now. Biggest drawback you should be aware of is the hump in the fender causes a pretty big shadow. I've tried adjusting it several ways, but pretty much if you want to see the trail in front of you get hump shadow. I'm actually planning on modding the mask so I can point it down some more, currently the bolt hits the plastic and won't allow me to point it down anymore, still a little high with max down adjustment.

In case you're curious what the Baja Designs light looks installed:

Old thread but still applicable to my question. I damaged my FE 501 front 2014 fender trying to avoid running over my buddies legs on a muddy downhill. The only way to stop was to clip a small tree, which worked but I broke one of the pins off the front fender. I took everything apart and cut the other pin off and reassembled but the fender is still twisted to the left. I started to order a new one but am considering swapping over to the 2015 style fender. It looks like I'd need a new mask as well. Does anyone know if the fender itself bolts up or is there some type of adapter bracket required? If so who sells them? Pictures of one converted would help too. TIA

    reveille,
The '15 has 2 screws only on the underside of the fender and 2 into the front of the trees at a right angle to the 2 bottom ones. These 2 front ones are horizontal into the front of the trees. They are just behind the '15 headlight mask. Does your '14 have these front tapped holes in the trees and doesn't it have 4 holes on the underside of the fender? Or does it have 2?

If the '14 fender has 4 holes ? I think the lower trees are different on the '15. Maybe I'm wrong.

Now I know the '15 has the pegs on the headlight/number plate mask that go into the fender where it's the other way around on the '14 right. That's why you need the '15 mask as well.

But is the '15 fender going to mount to your trees?? that I don't know I've never really looked at the under side of the '14 trees at the fender mounting arrangement.

So below is a couple of pictures of my new '15 black fender. It's a little harder to see the mounting arrangement but you get the idea.

Is the '14s fender mounting arrangement the same?? The'15 fender comes with the hardware needed taped to the underside, mine did but will it fit to the '14 trees though??

The '14 uses the Husaberg mount system and from '15 on the KTM system for the front mudguard (fender).
The mount, as shown in Big Timmy's post, is different and the triple clamps too, this to allow the mounting with 2 screws from the bottom and the 2 other 90 degrees from that, where the '14 mounts 4 screws from the bottom.

    Thanks bikesparky,
That's what I thought but wasn't going to commit to that statement. I didn't feel like looking back through a bunch of posts to find where I had read that. A picture was just easier. I remember it saying that the '15 trees were different and it only had 2 underside bolts. Not 4.

Thanks guys. I think I have the general idea now. Looks pricey. I think I'll stick with a $26 replacement 2014 fender for now. It works now so I'll finish out the season and replace the broken stuff this winter when she's all torn down for maintenance. I'm over the 200 hour mark and a bit over 4000 miles. Still running strong. I'd imagine the clutch is about shot at this point.
