bike race start 1030 1.5 hours single track XC race. Great location 10 minutes from the tecate border crossing
This one may be more "eastern" style than usual..........we are looking at rain in the forecast and its super cloudy as this morning opens. I guess my bald rear tire will need a swap out.
well i did a quick rear wheel change for another used but better one pirelli scorpion pro fim 140/80-18 fattttty to match the front fatty, went fast and smooth, fresh airfilter, lubed up chain really well with my fave golden spectro Z stuff white zinc grease spray, changed my gearbox oil as well. put new 6.0 rear spring on the other night so the trax will get tested for real 2 moro.
went well back at mi casa, had to leave before the results came down, hoping for a trofeo. If so it will be either 2nd or 3rd..50+ open... my man Reed beat me again!! tough corse to set up for rock gardens as well as deep whoop sections.
word in Reed P1 Me P2 50+ open we killed it!!! Im sure we beat alot of less aged racers as well I still dont know the OA yet
mega fotos posted on MRP on FB. I am in process of uploading a set for viewing here, MRP located his cams in some good spots for close action and some rocky spot hill climb carnage and hang ups.

funny stuff and no K it aint that technical and I goofed it a couple of times trying to be slick going tight right.. steeper than it looks as usual. from left to right looking at it (riding it from right to left) coming from trail off to left quick cut to right good traction but rock step where left kato is hacked then you need to get around the round rock in foreground because from where the foto is taken its a wall so up then sharp left around the rock, in my pic I hopped up it then got off balance and layed onto the rock while throwing my wheel around it to line up. Guy in middle with freeride is local dealer Rob from Veys that is my fave line with an even bigger vert rock step but puts you in straight to get between the rock behind the photog. where 88 is pushing is embedded rocks and slippery but not difficult and the very back line is smooth and wide and puts you in good easy line. I rode the freeride line mostly but also did the 88 and long line as well. One of the guys on my line hit the freeride line and jumped all the way up into the gap behind the cam guy that was the best run I saw through there, I followed him through the same freeride line but with more of a seat bounce dave knight kind of thing , he did the Jarvis move. lots of explaining but it fun to hash this stuff out
