250-500cc 20ltr/5.28 gallon tank for wr250

Hi. I've an onging issue with my leaking petrol tank. I've found someone selling an aftermarket tank which they say holds 20Ltr of fuel. I've never seen one hold that and have asked for some more details but they don't know who made it (they took the bike and spare tank as a part exchange).

Anyone have any ideas of whether there is a 20Ltr tank out there and who might have made it. Personally I think it will turn out to be ims 14ltr one but could really do with your ideas.

That sounds horrendously massive! I would think the main bolt holding your tank to the frame in the middle would snap every time you ride. I had a 3.2 and that was big.

Thanks k5pl5. Hadn't thought about that! But good point... Will wait to see what the guy comes back with as I've asked him to find out more about the tank as I can't find any trace of a tank that size for a wr.

I'm wondering if its for a Yamaha WR250R. I seem to recall aftermarket tanks that size for them, but not the Husky WR's.
Seller may be confused.

not the safari brand tank is it that replaces the shrouds? they look very top heavy
