Threads started in this new forum will have a 'blue' prefix titled: TE/TC.

That is so we can correct any misplaced threads i.e. often people will click on 'Whats New' and not ever realize if it is mis-placed - cause an Italian TE250 (4st) is *completely* different from an Austrian TE250 (2st).

And remember: these is the area to discuss technical things about the bikes. News/rumors and all the other stuff can go elsewhere.

Munn Racing just informed me that the Husky 2 strokes, aside from the obvious, are NOT KTM clones. That would explain why my Husky works so much different than the KTM's I tested out beforehand. By the way, it is Better.:)

OK guys, I do not know the exact details of engine differences, but Munn Racing suggested that engine parts might want to be checked before using a stock KTM part. Ktm has always had engine options available for their bikes and I GUESS that Husky chose what parts went into their bike.

This I do know as an owner of a 2014 TC250 and having raced MXA's test KTM's. The engine performance is not the same; the Husky hits sooner and revs out longer. I have tried KTM specific aftermarket pipes, PC and Scalvini, and despite magazine tests that state those pipes increase performance on the KTM, they are worse than stock on the Husky. Suspension is not the same as KTM, Husky uses its own valving settings. And obviously the ergonomics are not alike.

Sorry for the late response, and I am open to be corrected :-)

It really was just curiousity. haven't heard of any differences in performance other then ktms are better because the plastic subframe doesn't allow enough air. Either 250 makes way more power then i can use anyway :)

That is what MXA stated, but their Husky put out a bit more HP than their KTM. I noticed that my airbox gets more air than it needs, more holes just makes it get dirtier. My 2 cents.

I am with ya on the power, it is more than I can use anyway too.
