    Hello,

I have a 2011 TE310 with a bad motor. The valves and piston had a fight. I'm thinking of looking for a used motor for a simple swap. Does anyone know if I can put the 2013(red head motor) in my 2011? Will my mikuni FI work ok on the 2013? They say the head is all new. Will the intake an exhaust bolt up?

    Thanks.

The exhaust from the 2011 won't fit. The engine will bolt right in. The mikuni injection might fit.
If you were happy with the way the 2011 ran I would just rebuild it. I've had the red head 310s and they run ok but the blackhead 310 with the race ecu and 12 port injector ran better in my opinion.

See if SWM will ship you a new 340X motor ;-)

    340X...??

I thought they only made the 300 & 500 engined bikes.

SWM had this on display at a show a few years ago.

Thats pretty. Thanks for the info. I do have the race ecu and 12 port. I'll probably rebuild.

Ah, must have been a teaser.
I've just had a chance to ride a 500 and 300 and I must say they're not bad at all.

Rode the 630 equivalent. Engine was still tight as was the suspension (0 Kms when I rode it). It did feel very good. Only issue for me was the drastically reduced suspension travel

How did the piston and valves collide?

How many hours on the bike?
