Went out to the Owhyees Yesterday with the still Mikuni equiped 125 (will have that resolved later "thanks Walt" ) Lowered the needle to the second clip and running a 390 main with a 17.5 pilot 44:1 Amsoil Dominator.

Actually had to richen the air screw 1/2 turn and the Bike ran like a raped ape !! I have Walts Springs in and the low end was great ! This bike is not down on power one bit.. hit lots of big hills with no problems (just be in the right gear) Still spooged all over the place I think a Kehin pwk will resolve that but what an awsome starting point... when I get the carb and an overbore 144/167 I think I'll wet myself with how happy I'm gonna be....

    Awsome bike....

Yikes have you done a plug check on the pilot, I realize your probably at decent altitude but that's awfully lean. It'll be interesting to see what pilot you end up with in the pwk.

Haven't done a plug check yet... gonna go with a 42 pilot on the Keihin PWK for starters.. That's what Walt's gonna set me up with...

to tell the truth... I could've gone leaner on the pilot still... just playing with the air screw and the 17.5 pilot I was at 3 1/2 turn out  ... I'm no fan of the Mikuni TMX...

    Leaner is faster ...
I have a 380 main ,30 pilot and needle on second clip - I may try leaner pilot

    Kevin,

Make sure you have a 45 pilot, 170 and 175 mains with you when you first try it out so that you can adjust. The 42 and 172 are just my wag guess with the needle and slide in this pwk. But getting a good quality PWK airstriker for $75 cleaned and delivered is pretty good. I still can't believe it was listed the way it was...no hits and pure luck I found it for you.

Rockdancer, try 25 pilot, needle in 1st groove and keep your 380
main. I think you'll like it.

until you realize it is so stinking fast you have to do something about the suspension. :D
