4" lower? How did they do that? Does the bike have any travel? I'm interested to know as I have a friend that 5' 5" and really struggles with regular size bikes...

FE350 is light quality bike lots of great power and transmission and House of HP installed limiter spacers ,rewound correct spring rates and valved to work work great. If your a Husky family thats why not AJP.I remember when 8 in travel bikes worked great and honestly the factorys could take note of that "not everybody is 5ft 10 and having fun doesnt need 12+ travel.

Did the factory lowered huskys of the past have any following? I agree Bill, lots of people don't need 12 inches of travel but in the end most people don't know whats best for them and feel short changed with less.

When bikes were shorter they were also shorter in wheelbase.... The problem I see is your past the rising rate of the linkage.... but to eachs own....

Short Huskys of the past have a following? Not really because they are exactly there... gone... TE250i made 1 year....

I agree that manufacturers are missing a market but in the end really how big is that market? Not that big or they would be in it....

I like it. One of the main reasons I traded my orange 300 for a beta 300. Now I'm looking at the xtrainer. Just need to justify it to myself

X Trainer is only .8 inches shorter but it is also .5 inch shorter....

the biggest benefit is it still has 12" of ground clearance

It's a challenge many times being 5' 4" so I feel the pain.

I could almost say I never need the suspension travel or ground clearance available.

Got the 1" kouba, shaved 'low' seat, forks shoved up, shock damping softened to just before the spring rattles around.

Even though I cringe at the thought of shipping my suspension across the country. Would the average 1.5" internal lowering get me any closer to the ground than my current 'setup'?

im sure the bike would handle much better with the actual correct spring rates instead of softening things just to make it lower. there are good suspension places all over the country, would be best to talk to one about it. im betting the bike would perform much better and you could tune it for handling and not height

It's going to handle like crap. The geometry change with a 4 inch drop is not something Engr. into the design. They should have just bought a TTR 125 and called it a day....poor call in my mind . Asked for by a person that simple doesn't have a clue but I am persuming it for a female that will never use a 350FE anywhere nears in potential so no harm, no foul besides ruining what was once a great bike.

I lowered my 2010 Te 250 1.5", Drew from WER did an awesome job, He and both agreed that was the max we would go. I am 5.4 -5.5' Tall or short lol. Shofter springs in front(4.2) revalved etc. The bike handles awesome! Really plush .we Ride all rocks around here as well

They are a husky family..... lol

If you aren't going to us 3 inches of travel (because after you sit on it and have proper sag of 4" you will have 3 inches) you certainly dont need a 350 and I guess its a case of who cares how much fun that person will have riding around on a overpowered crap handling bike that handles like the Queen Mary...

Theres a hundred bikes that would be a much better fit.... CRF230, TTR230, PR4

just because a person is short doesn't mean they don't want the power or quality of a premium bike, or have the skill to ride it. TTR's and CRF's are starter bikes, and not even in the same league.

They spent 10k and got what they wanted. I think it would still be more fun then a crf230 :).

Bottom line is the person who had it done is making a bike that they feel good with... It does not matter what others think what is right or wrong, they are not riding the bike. Not everyone including myself is an A rider and ride what at a pace we feel good with. Some of the comments I have read are like comparing the type of car a person buys and judging them by that... Hey man it's all about fun and riding isn't it ?
