If you listen carefully on 3rd video, at 6" the motor has some very little difficulties when changing
from 2nd to 3rd at full throttle.

Could it have to do with the fact that it's on a roadway? making the engine absorb the shift? Maybe better in the dirt?

I have also tried in dirt, but the problem was the same.
Must not be deaf to hear on video the rev problem and gear changing !

Not sure about yours (is it a 3 speed ?) But have you checked the 2 and 3 gear grooves ? Maybe the oil cannot escape the shoe and it is "floating"
Also check the gears on the main shaft. Sometimes they can move slightly and prevent a smooth take up.
Probably none of the above, but trying to be helpful :)

i wouldnt worry about that . it pulls through it fine .

maybe it does get a guts full of fuel as you are holding it full throttle so full airflow and suddenly the engine rpm is half what it use to be

Grouty, I have checked the 2nd and 3rd gear grooves when I installed the motor
in the frame. The motor has 3-4 hours of riding since I checked the motor.
I don't think, it is that.
But I hear what you are saying and will see if I can't find solutions with the carb.
    Thanks

Thanks for your advice. I'm going to check my main jet to see if it can be better.

Just put a 390 main jet instead of 410.
    A little better.

    Hi Michel,

The auto only has 3 gears?

Is the ratio change between 2nd and 3rd wider than the ratio change between 1st and 2nd?

Which would make it sound like it is bogging down shifting into 3rd?

Don't forget 2 stokes make their power that comes on quickly by spinning the tire in the dirt.

Bitumen riding is not going to be a good indicator of performance.

    Cheers, Dave.

pooh, a correctly jetted 2 / will smoke hard on bitumen or dirt, nothing doing with traction.

Yes it is a 430 LC 3 gears automatic.
(but a auto bottom end 4 gears + 430 ae top end + electric water pump would be a great idea !) :)
    Don't know for the ration1/2 and 2/3.

Made a ride today with the 420 ae 4 gears . Idle was easier to be low.
At full throttle, no problems , the gears change easily.
    My secondary is 15x52.

Grouty and Störmer, what is your secondary ratio with the chain ?
    Thanks

That will be feet Michel, so 150 to 300 metres, I will check the gearing on my 420 over the weekend when I get a chance, Rugby takes priority. Allez les Rostbifs!!
