Thought i share some Info here regarding Clutch adjustment.
I found my clutch very soft and almost spongy on the Lever. I had a look and found the Clutch was worn , not a lot but enough to do the SHIM adjustment.

So my clutch always seems to drag and not fully disengage, making it nearly impossible to find neutral while running. Would this procedure be something which may cure the problem? My bike has about 1000 pretty easy miles on it. Thanks for the feedback!

Mine would drag too. Then I put the oil recirc kit on it and run 1200 to 1250 CCs of oil in it and all is good as soon as it warms up.

it did help a little bit with CLutch drag... most improvement i got with the MOTUL 300V 5W40.
I also checked a thread on Trials Central out about clutch drag, pulled clutch apart and found that the Husky clutch is pretty spot on regarding the Clutch drag post on Trials CEntral. (BETA clutch drag)

Helmut, I've been experiencing clutch drag off and on for quite a while. I'm running the oil recirc kit with about 1200cc of Mobil 1 0-40 and I'm wondering if changing out the shim would help. FYI, my lever auction is not mushy like you described. Do you know the thickness of the stock shim? Helmut, I'm sure you're busy with other things but did you get a chance to measure the stock shim?

I would venture a guess that it will measure 3.7 -3.8 mm based on the optional chart sizes of the other disk.

That's what I suspect as well. I called a well respected dealer in the US and spoke to someone in their service dept that rides a 449 and he speculated that I needed a thinner shim which didn't make since to me. Maybe I didn't do a good job explaining my issue to him. I will not name names because he tried to be very helpful over the phone but I'm betting he was mistaken.
