I've lost one of the metal folded fasteners used to secure the plastic body panels to the frame of my 2012 511.

What are those fasteners called and where can I order them?

    Thanks.

Clip nut or j nut. Your local hardware store should have some 6mm x 1.0 thread.

Also. if you loose one of the special stepped bolts for going through the shrouds, grab a 'track pack' of bolts for the Honda CRF series, they have the same type of bolts in there.
I bought a whole bolt pack for less than two Husky bolts & didn't have to wait for them to be ordered in

The kit bolts are slightly shorter in the thread, but still work fine.

I am looking for a bolt set like the CRF one posted for my 2013 TC 449. The bolts on it are M5 shoulder style on most items and the CRF used M6 & M8. I have searched on the net have found nothing.

No M5 shoulder bolts in any of those packages. Still looking!

You can buy them from tusk as a offroad kit. Has all the 6mm and 8mm fasteners and they have torx inside if you strip them. They are a flange bolt or something like that. I bought the whole tusk kit for ktm. similar stuff but not exact.

Are the bolts you are after for the side panels?
If so they are the same for TE & in those packs.
If they're for somewhere else on the bike, I'm not sure.

They are for my 2013 TC 449. The m5 shoulder bolts are used in many places on the bike and I have not found one kit or even one supplier of this size shoulder bolt. All the kits offer is the M6 and M8 used on earlier years.
I really want to find a supplier for the M5 bolts or I will have to change most of them over to M6 including the clip nuts as well.
