WOW, weird weekend and weather here. Last week we broke records with 109 weather now we have 50 and raining in August!!! Welcome to the NW. Had a great hard core ride / exploring expedition with a couple good friends yesterday. Beat the crap out of me and my bike. Good times. Not a lot of pix as we were lifting and pushing and swearing (because it was so much fun :>) and the weather was not good for pix / lens foggy. Dudes, do your setup at home All cleaned up, new oil, filter an motoz tire... time for a thrashing... Two 09 WR125's and a 07 WR250 this day. Tacky conditions. FUN! Great views from this spot (just not today :>) Time to get to work... Thrash testing the Rotopax / trail rack setup. At the 26 MPG I am getting this setup gets me 72 miles to dry in these conditions. Perfect. No saw, were not going any further that way... Adam, the trail is on your left while it does not look like much most these trails including this one is VERY steep right off the trail. Almost imposable to drag them back on by yourself. 50 miles in 6.5 hours or 7.5 MPH average. Beat the crap out of ourselves and bikes. Talked all the way home how fun it was. This is a funny sport.
Nice! It looks like what we ride in my area of NY. Only thing worse than sliding off a trail like that is ending up with the bars pointing down the hill. Don't ask how I know this!
Again....great looking stuff. I'd have liked to have some rain for our ride, but alas, it wasn't to be had.
Those trails look great. I love ugly tech trails like that. I got 70 miles in with a Trask/Ginger/Keening loop. I was thinking that whole area is clapped out but we spent most of the day on long super tight single track (as in, if you blink you might loose the trail). A bunch of stuff I never knew existed. I guess there is still a lot of good riding in those hills but you have to know where it is. BTW I got the 125 up Birtha
