FE/FC 501 big bore

Thought this info would be more relevant in this section.
I contacted thumper racing to find out if their 570 kit works in the new 501's.
What I found out was, it is now a 588 drop in kit, or a 610 with case mods.
In the old days of carburetors not much needed to changed, however these mods will require a power commander 5.

or a larger throttle body! Wonder what increases in hp and torque come with that 588 cc kit?

Man I don't know. I just came back from a ride on my 501 and any added power might just be the end of me...

I agree... well unless you are riding the sands of Glamis.. then all bets are off!
