    Gudday Husky folk,

I've been offered a 50mm Marzocchi front end from a TE510 at a really good price. I have a 2007 te610 with the 45mm zook's... Has anyone done the swap? How'd it go? Much difference? Easy swap? What was needed?

I would imagine if it is the whole front end including triple clamp it would be quite straight forward, and would be a vast improvement.

That's what I'm hoping! I dunno about vast improvement but it might prove moreresponsive to tweaking/clicker changes. I'm just wondering about the little things like will my 610 wheelfit...

The front wheels are all the same back to 03 or so. Bill and the guys at BMP put some 50s off a 510 I think on a 630 awhile back. I don't remember the details, but it has been done.

I havent done 45 to 50 swap. But i did do TE510 50mm to TE610 50mm and found the wheel spacers and axle didnt swap correctly (very close, but not exact) between the 510 and 610. Just something to watch for.

Rear discs are also different, but thats another story.

I Doubt if a swop is going to be the best --without re valving the 510 TE's front end and some shimming -- My 510TE. Unless you going to ride your 610 like a 510 ? was not the best in front and my 450TE is Super cool --but not unless some work is done to them.

    Just my personal experience :)

I'd probably focus more on getting the 45's set up right. I don't think that the 50's are that much "better" than the 45s.
