    Wow what a blast

The bikes were a crowd favorite, many peeps taking pics.
I was a proud papa let me tell you. Running both bikes back to back blasting around the MX track.
Some of rocks and logs was not for me lol, not out to bust them up.
They did really well, the 89 is slower on the ass dyno. Had a hell of a day.

My bike riding buddy with me yesterday, rode the 89 for an hour.
As we were loading up he popped the question. lol

" so are you willing to sell 1 of them 400 XCs?"
Im like huh??? (Rides a newer 350 KTM)

Well i blew 3 XCs apart for spare parts.
This morning we talked and he is taking 3/4s of a bike for 600.

"Yeah i want to build a rider, i want a long wheel base, stable ride like that 510 bike".
No front end, a motor that needs a rebuild and seat, tank with the basics to start on.
He wants a Lectron and new forks with touchy brakes and a build life time rider like my bike :)

Funny how that works , let a friend try an old Husky and now they want one . I did that to a friend , he tried my 81 . Within 1 week he bought 3 old Husky's and has added to his stable since . Any bets as to whether your buddy ends up with more than 1 ?

I moved away from the left kickers for two newer bikes and I'm back to the left kickers?

The older left kickers are worst than potato chips we can't have just one. But once I had seat time on the bigger bores the 250's sat.

sometimes i wonder if its just me being stubborn or something else. im usually not that impressed riding a newer machine. probably because i just play ride but they are very uncomfortable..you can move around on them, but the swedes i find i dont need to move alot. just sit or stand...

For sure, i like my bike it gives me confidence and i ride with new bikes most of the time.
Most riders blame the bike and buy another new bike....
When i did very well but it was nasty for others, they like to think its all me (skill) but it was the bike that pulled it off lol
I go riding to see to nature and have some freedom away from the grind.
I need a bike, That isnt a ton of work to handle/ride and has comfort and just go unwind.
At the rest points and running into other guys, my vintage ride is all any one wants to talk about.

At my buddies track up in Vt most guys are on thier vintage bikes more than thier newer more modern machines . Most of the regulars have been bitten by the vintage bug . It's funny when someone new comes and bring thier "new " bike and can't keep up with the old guys on the old bikes . Then at dinner we hook up the gopro's to the tv and watch the days action . Definitely a lot of good times .

The evo husky's are just so forgiving to ride And they are competitive play bikes. The old school cool is a bonus.
