Hi, i have little problem with my 570 -03 te husky due I cant keep neutral gear in. It just slips of to 1st gear asap as I rotate the engine. The engine itself is running smooth and gears will be found very easily. Help would be really appreciated, dont want to broke in whole engine to find problem in best driving season..
All the these bikes use a spring loaded ball bearing to hold the selector drum in neutral position. Lots of people make the mistake of presuming that it is the 6mm allen key underneath the engine is the oil drain plug it lossing the ball .This holds the spring and the ball bearing retainer.So check that the ball bearing is still in place & that the spring is also good.Do not overtighten and check that the copper washer is not squashed.This will lead to tight shifting.
