250-500cc 5w20 in gearbox?

Anyone know if you can use 5w20 in your gearbox? Any issues? Found a big jug of it in the garage. I usually just use 10w40 and change often.

if its jaso-ma rated its ok. if not you are gambling making your clutch slip. many run atf and thats only 10w

Synthetic ATF, used it for years with no issues.

Yeah. I just wondering if I can use this jug of 5/20 since it won't get used in my car.

Make sure it's suitable for wet clutches and stick it in.

I had a chance to look last night. Didn't see that rating, so I just went and bought some 10/40. Thanks!
