    Has anyone tried this? I've always been nervous about leaving the bike places unattended, and while someone(s) could still drag it off or pick it up into a truck, it would add a tiny bit of security to have a keyed ignition on it.

    you could probably order a OEM 08 TE510 ignition switch to fit your bike.
