My 610 almost never starts the first time you turn the key on. By not starting i mean no crank or anything. I usually have to cycle the key a few times until I hear the fuel pump until it will turn over. It seems the neutral light will come on and off in this process as well. Anybody else have this happening to theirs? Is this a common problem?
I'd pop the ignition switch out and take the cover off the bottom ( I was able to get it loose with my fingers ) Take a good look at the soldered wires under there. I bet you have one about to let go.
Okay, So i pulled the ignition switch out and all the wires are still soldered. Another "symptom" i've been having is my clock resetting randomly.
The battery is older, but I haven't had any issues with cranking at all. I will check the water level when I get home as well as check the frame grounds and connections.
I'd be looking closely at the earth connections. Water level in battery? If your battery is old enough to have a level that can be checked, replace it. That is last centuries 's technology.
The battery is a sealed unit. I went over my connections yesterday and all seemed fine. My neutral light comes on and off randomly too. No specific pattern.
