630 clutch question

    Hi guys I have a 2011 630 I just got it its got 3000 miles on it. when the bike is off and in gear 1st if i pull the clutch in say to push it there is still some friction there like the clutch is not fully disengaging is this normal if not how do i Adjust it

    Normal to have drag. You can't adjust the hydro clutch like a cable clutch.

    Normal when the bike is off.

    Static friction > Dynamic friction

    When the motor is running, it's overcoming the resistance you are feeling, but since it's at such a high RPM, the drag is actually reduced, partially because of the presence of agitated oil.

    When you are starting to push it, you are having to overcome about 20 friction contact surfaces in the clutch alone, and the oil isn't being agitated in the clutch basket.

    You can adjust the clutch lever further forward to get a little more travel, but it won't get rid of the drag you are feeling.
