Hey that looks like the TourTech i put on! I added the non skid and mount for my Rotopax storage container and 1gal container. View attachment 10138
I haven't tried to mount anything on the tank yet. Probably because I also have the storage container for oil, tubes, tools, etc. I have some other views too.
Nice setup Capt. I just got email from wolfman that they are not currently working on bars for the TE, maybe next year. Dirtbags is reporting maybe in a couple of months. TCI (the Borrego Rack) in interested in making a prototype with my bike but not for a month and then they'll want it for 2 or 3 weeks. Yikes! I may get a free one out the deal though. BTW, they have a 1-1/2 gallon rotopax style aux tank. Looks to be the same type of deal as a rotopax but it's square. They thought their rack for a 610 would fit but we've all found out the subframe mounting points are different. So...the Touratech one...good looking rack although expensive. I'm wondering if a Giant Loop Coyote would fit on the seat in front of your rack and just the rotopax. I'm thinking it would move the seating postion to far forward. Got any ideas?
Confusing...I got this reply from Wolfman on August 1... Should be ready in the next few weeks…check our website for details! Dusty Wessels
I received this message from Wolfman on 7/21 "Hi Fast, Racks will be designed around twin exhaust. I hope to start production in a couple of weeks. Berg" check out page 10 and 11 of this thread.. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=545635&page=10
Oh my god, these guys are certifiable. Here's the transcript copied from my emails to them over the last two days. Unfortunately I deleted his last reply, but it went something like this, "Go ahead and make alternate plans. If we get to them it will be sometime next year." I figured hey, gotta look elsewhere so I deleted his last response. I've unlinked my email for web bots. Thanks for getting back Dusty. Why are they ‘on hold right now’? Are you waiting to see if there is demand? If you’re not going to build them just say so, so we can make other arrangements. The enduro bags are too small and the bags that go on top are too much weight too high. A setup with weight down low is the way to go, so expedition bags like your Tetons, giant loop, etc. are what everyone wants for these types of bikes. I know, you already know that. ;-) Thanks again!--Chris Brown From:Dusty Wessels [mailto:dusty@wolfmanluggage.com] Sent: Friday, August 12, 2011 7:25 AM To: chrisbrown77@ Subject: RE: Husqvarna TE630 Hi Chris, Our racks for the TE630 are on hold right now. I am not sure of a completion date. Have you looked at our Enduro Saddle Bags and Duffle or our Rolie Bag System? These are also other options for the TE630. Any word/update?? GL is selling like hotcakes. Would rather do your Tetons and put a rotopack on top. Let us know... Thanks!! Chris Brown OC, So-Cal
Motoxotica has good pics of it on their thread...he has them in stock: http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/630-rack-and-bag.19297/
Does Dusty know something we don't about the 2012 TE630...? For now, I'm holding out hope for DirtBagz...The GL products don't work for me since I like to have either no bag across the seat, or a removable one.
Thanks for the link CJ, nice looking bag and plenty big. It's a great price compared to here in Australia. My dealer claimed the official carry rack was near $400 Aus dollars. I would be nice to get the bag shipped if postage is reasonable .
Got another reply from Dusty at Wolfman... They need a bike to finish. I guess. I also found 'Berg's' website and it looks like he's actually the creator of their support racks. http://www.backroadsmoto.com Here is my last correspondence with Wolfman Luggage: That is exactly what we are waiting for…the problem is there are no Husky dealers close enough to either of us and they would probably not let us use a bike. We have the word out that we are looking for a bike but have not gotten a response. We need to do some last minute fit changes. The bike we originally were using got sold so we did not get to finalize everything. That’s where we are…hopefully something happens soon but we don’t know. Sorry Chris. If you're not working on them why was this posted two weeks ago on ADVrider.com? A couple of people from cafehusky.com have said you and at least one other contact at your company have both told them you're really close to having a product available. Did the project just get shelved? http://advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=16446136&postcount=1370 Wolfman Needs a 630 for rack fitment. Hi Guys, Berg is finishing up the Husky Te 630. But we need a bike to do the final fitment. Preferably one in Colorado, Denver/Front Range area. If anyone has a bike, please call me: 303651-6022 800/535-8131. Cheers, Eric
the Husky bag is nice, although the fit to the Husky rack isn't as perfect as I would have liked, It is as if it is a universal fit bag.
@CJBROWN thank you for mentioning TCI gas cans, I did not even know that besides rotopax others make them I liked the rack design for TCI -- because it is wider than others -- naturally will let things hang on the side of the exhaust pipes of the TE 630 I do not mind giving my bike for 3 weeks (I ride another one now anyways) -- but it is in NC
