    Sachs Shock Preload Adjuster
Back when I bought my TE 630, I asked my mechanic about a preload adjuster for the Sachs shock that my bike came with. He pointed out to me that his 4T Beta came with a Sachs shock as well, and he was certain that the preload adjuster he had fitted on his bike would do fine in mine as well.
So I paid a visit to a local Beta dealer and I picked up this from the Beta Race Parts catalog (it actually is red just like the adjustment knob on the 630 shock):

Here is the actual product package, with all the part info on it:

The product is made by a company called XTRIG (www.xtrig.com) which makes similar items for a number of Huskies but offers none for the 630. Beware, there are other huskies fitted with Sachs shocks for which XTRIG makes adjusters, like the 2011 TE 250, but the shock reservoir orientation is different.
On the 630 the shock reservoir is accessible from the left side, while on the 250 is from the right. Since the preload adjuster is using the shock gas reservoir as a stop, getting the wrong part may not allow you to have proper access to the adjustment bolt. These things fit only one way, you can't flip them over to suit your needs. The Beta 4T RR has the shock reservoir on the right side too, so these other parts may work as well, I simply don't know.

Nevertheless, I removed the rear shock from my bike a few days ago and took it to my suspension guru. He fitted the adjuster at no cost! The process is really simple and can be done by anyone with some patience and the right tools. The instructions that came with the part outline the process step by step. I will post the instruction sheet later.
Here is what the shock looks like with the part already fitted. (The two rings are the OEM parts used to preload the shock, while the tool shown is what you would use to remove these rings).

Now, I can adjust the shock preload anytime and anywhere simply by using a 8mm socket wrench. Simple as that.
    Hope it helps.

I paid 110 Euros for it. It would do just fine on the SMS as well. Both models use the same shock absorber body, so the adjuster would fit on both.

Just use the part I did and you 'll be fine (as long as you don't mind the Beta logo on the side of it, which won't show on the final installation anyway).

If you guys can get your hands on Beta parts, take a look at these as well:

These are the compression adjusters for the Marzocchi Shiver 45 (an immensely popular fork among european manufacturers). Same as the ones sold by Husqvarna but I bought them at a fraction of the price the Husky dealer was asking. Paid 80 Euros for both.

Just be warned: Upon installation remove the shims the compression adjusters come with, and use the ones from the fixed valves used on your bike, so you get the same base setup.

When time comes around for the first fork service I'll have them installed, and maybe remove those travel limiting spacers (I 've located them) to get full 298 mm travel from the fork. But that will be another thread altogether.

Can you share where the spacers are in the front forks that are limiting the suspension travel?

    Take a look at this:

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=603554

Halfway down the page there is a picture of the spacer used to shorten the fork travel.

Removing the spacer will allow the fork to fully extend, thus altering its overall length. This will affect the steering geometry of the bike. In order to partially compensate for this you will have to lower the fork on the triple clamps. You are looking at almost 3 cm here!

    Thanks
I've been googling for months trying to find that info
You wouldn't happen to know where i can find info on the throttle body and efi for the 630?
Trying to find out if a generic tps or throttle body can be used.

No problem. Glad to be of assistance.

As for the tps / throttle body I cannot imagine why you would want to mess with these. Todays bikes are quite complicated with a multitude of sensors feeding the efi with data. You need to be an expert to program an efi, have access to a dyno etc. The only case where I have seen someone replace an efi along with the tps/throttle body was this poor guy who had bought a brand new TE 630 that was power restricted - the dealer had no idea about it, or how such a bike ended up in our market (these bikes are intended for starters / young drivers who face driving license limitations). By the way they fix it under warranty. If you suspect that you are stuck with such a bike, look up the production number of your bike to see if that's the case. If so, the dealer should have informed you that they were selling you a restricted bike, otherwise they are obliged to open it up for you. If you cannot get that info send my a pm with the frame and engine production numbers and I will see what I can do.

If that is not the case, here's my suggestion:
Get in contact with these guys http://www.htmracing.it
If they cannot help you, nobody can. They are into huskies big time and they have a 630 specific page which includes an efi programmed by them. They offer all kind of staff to help us blow up our engines with class! They also offer products to map your efi and so on.

It would help if you know someone that speaks Italian, to contact them directly over the phone. Italians are really nice people that take pride in their work but they have a thing about foreign languages (no offense meant). If you don't know any Italians visit your nearest catholic church on Sunday. It is Easter Sunday, they 'll all be there! Make some friends, invite them over for dinner and you 'll thank me when they return the favor. Their home cooking is out of this world (no comparison to restaurant food). The same apply for my own.

I hope I could be of help.

P.S. Forgive me for the time it takes to respond. I'am on the other side of this world!

I just wanted to add a supplement on this... Third time lucky of ordering I actually received an X trig branded unit that fits fine. I've paid over the odds as there are plenty available at a discount if you search (Annoyingly I nearly bought one for $61 on a whim 3 months ago & it turns out it was the right part GRRRR!!)

Part number is KYB #500010600101 which is Xtrig number XT100481101HU
