I need some help diagnosing why my 630 wont start....here's the background. I experienced the standard tank leak like everyone else where it leaked from the fuel pump so removed, did the permatex thing. Put back together. Started right up...a week later started leaking again...took tank off and tired alot of permatex and let is cure for 24 hours and reinstalled. Now won't start. When taking the tank off the bike I couldn't get the main fuel line to disconnect from the fuel pump so I removed the other end from the throttle body. (just giving more info here) After it didn't start I took the tank off to diagnose and I removed the fuel line from the throttle body and there was significant pressure built up when I removed. There was fuel in that line when I removed so it looks like gas is getting to the throttle body. When I'm trying to start it it just keeps turning and turning but nothing. Any thoughts on what may be going on?
Pull the plug, crank it over and check for spark. If you've got spark, I think there's an airlock in your fuel line somewhere. Can you disconnect the fuel line from the injector body, turn on the ignition, and make sure there's a solid fuel supply getting to the injector body?
Are you certain the fuel line is pushed on the fitting tight? Do you hear the pump prime when you turn the ignition on? .
I checked that it was on there tight but will make sure again...not sure about if the pump primed but will try when I get home tomorrow. Will also try to check for spark and check for good fuel supply Will let you know how these go.....thanks a bunch
Did you get it to start? If so what was the issue? I also have a no start situation on a 630 and am trying to track it down.
