Hi All, Just joined today and happy to be here. I also have a question. I have a 79 250CR but like the look of the 80 model with the no back frame loop over the rear fender. If I get a 80 frame, swing arm and seat will everything from my 79 fit for the most part?
    Thanks for any help!

Second Old Husky on cutting and pop in the frame stops. Cut right where seat ends. Roughly 2 to 3 inches into the upwards angle.

Side note if actually swapping frames:

All parts are interchangeable with one feature exception... the 1980 CR uses a longer swingarm by 1" (23 1/4" to be exact) As such it uses a longer brake stay rod and brake arm. Makes the bike more stable.

Thanks guys I thought about it. But I want to use an 80 seat and fender. I would have to bend up the frame tubes to follow the up turn of the back bottom of the seat pan. I'll go with a used frame.
Thanks on the swapping info T I did pull out an old MXA and it did give me the longer swing arm info.
