83-84 Air cooled 250 Pipe?

Anyone make a aftermarket pipe for a 83-84 250? I would like to get one for my 84 WR250.

I wouln'd plan on lighter weight. Every OEM pipe I have has been cracked and welded if anything the Stock Pipe should of been built a bit Heavier in the first place. Probably not going to see much of a Performance gain either other than moving the powerband up if thats what is perfered. But since these bikes are old and Stock pipes in perfect condition are hard to come by I'd much pefer to use an Aftermarket pipe for rideing. 430's are comon but I've still havn't seen or herd of one for a 82 250.

I have Ashe pipes on both of my 82 250"s, CR and XC. Help a bit on the low end is all I have found. I modified a 82 430 Ashe pipe for my 82 500 project. I have never seen aftermarket produced pipes for the 83-84 air cooled other than a Ashe I had on a 84 WR500.

I have considered building a Pipe for my 250. Is there any chance I could get the demensions of the Ashe Pipe for a 82'....Thanx.

Well the 250 is what I'm interested in at the moment, however I have a 430 as well. For the Use of the Vintage Group it would be great to have the Demensions of the Arch Pipes as well as the Stock Pipes for comparison. But I really don't exspect You to start this crusade on Your own for my benifit. Pipe Dementions could make a seperate Thread of its own, however there are only so many of Us who would consider makeing there own Exhaust. I can say that if an aftermarket Exhaust is avalable its going to be cheaper in Dollars than the Time Spent makeing ones own. I sure would like the Arch (or FMF or Pro Circut etc) 250 (1982) Dementions, I can measure the Stock Pipe myself and I'd be glad to post the diffrences. Thanx....
