Can somebody take some photos of the rear side panel mounts on the 83/84 white two-strokes? I think the muffler side has a bolt on bracket, but not sure about the right side. My frame has no mounting tabs welded on. Broken off? Thanks in advance.

The 1983/84 had push on side -panels that had rubber grommets riveted to the side-panel on non muffler side.I needs some of these grommets, but can't find them?

muffler side was bolt for rear mount.....push on ruber grommet that weas pop riveted to front of left panel..............right side was riveted rubber snap on grommet for both. BTW despite what most think, 83 and 84 were different panels...........shape was different at front area. 83 was rounded to "flow" into metal tank junction...........84 was more angular to blend in with 84 plastic tank that made an attempt to carry the fuel lower in the frame.

    Thanks all!

Mattskn, those are the shots I need!! I got this bike recently and the side panels were in a box. The panels are OK, all the rubber grommets are there, the forward tabs are on the frame... but there's NOTHING at the back! It looks like I need to have someone make some brackets for me... any of you guys do some light fabricating? I do some light paying!!

Joe, Thanks for the tips about 83 vs. 84 panels. Maybe we should try to put up some comparison photos. I could easily post what I've got.

    Thanks again!
