86 400XCE chain adjustment

    Getting to the last details on my 400 XCE project. Time to adjust the chain. Adjusting to just a hair of slack with the axle, swing arm axle, and countershaft centerlines lined up I get about 1" slack with the bike on the side stand.
    Sound about right?
    Or how much slack do you want?

    Yup, 1" of play ( pushing the chain up and down all the way ) with the bike on the stand is OK.

    After sitting for two years during restoration, this jewel started on the first kick!
