It's fun, it's social and it's scenic. We even have a couple of guys (who don't speak any English) who have come over from Japan three years in a row to ride it.
It seemed to fail for me too for a bit. Let's try this. Okay that didn't work so I deleted it. I'll try again in a while.
just bumping thread. It's this weekend. The Dez Dash will be my get used to the dez ride for the upcoming round 3 of Nat H&H series. Will be on my TE610 for its first official DS ride.
rode the sunday loop. This Ds thing definitly has something going for it. Riding through Anza Borrego Dez Park was amazing in cool moist conditions. I rode the TE610 on her maiden long distance...well @ 100 mile ride. It rained and snowed on Sat nite, the dez was moist and the sand washes were even kinda loamy. It was cold in the morn and we climbed up into snow mountains then down into the dez and all through the anza borrego dez park (street legal only). The views were amazing and the ride really was fun with a couple of tech spots. One thing I learned fast was that it is impossible to do one of these without GPS. I just got lucky (lottery lucky) and ran into one of our Mex ride/race buds(Reed) who has the GPS rig and so him another guy(Dave) and me did the loop together. Also lottery lucky is that Reed is the guy that takes mega fotos from his on flak vest rig while riding. Should have some good shots coming. It was an exceptional day and the 1999 TE610 was flawless all day, my only gripe is that the clutch is very grabby and hard to modulate (just needs some cable love and other TLC I am sure)
was told and have seen the sat fotos,,,the washes were awash,,,,Im glad I chose sunday it could not have been better.
