Hello everybody! Long time reader, first time poster. Allow me to introduce myself before I start asking for your help. I was a professional motorcycle mechanic for 10+ years. I still wrench all the time for therapeutic reasons and have always had a soft spot for euro dirtbikes. Had a '98 Husaberg FC600 that I brought back to life a while ago. God, I wish I could have kept that thing. I actually screened potential buyers! "If your gonna beat it and throw it away, buy a YamaKaHonZi!" It's now a street legal supermoto, which makes me want it even more. Alas, it's not for sale.

Anyway, so now I've acquired this Husky 125. I have searched and searched for any info on this thing. Found all kinds of info on '80s and late '90s+, but nothing in between. I got it from my neighbor who moved out of state. He didn't know what year it was. The best I can tell from a couple pics, it's a '93. He had a Cagiva 125, a Husky w/ a Cagiva motor, and this one. I'm assuming it was a joint deal with Cagiva. Made in Italy? It has Cagiva elephants (very cool!) here and there. His son used to race them back in the day. Since then it's been sitting in a heated shop for 12 years. Clutch was seized, jets were gummed up, fork seals are starting to leak, rear shock linkage bearings are shot, needs an air filter, etc. I sonic cleaned the carb and got it running/tuned pretty good but I'd like to make it 100%. Motor is supposedly fresh and I believe it. I am going to call Hall's Cycle w/ VIN#s too. Gotta know what it is before I start spending $! Any info would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks, I think it looks good too! It's definitely a 125 engine. Wish it was at least a 250 though. I'm 6'5 255lbs. Any thoughts?
The VIN is really weird. It reads:
    HUSQVARNA D6M 0M

If you are in north america that bike would be a WXC 125. Husky did not import the CRs in 1993. I do agree with Joe it definitely looks like a 1993.

Is that the VIN from the steering stem ? It looks the the numbers from the engine. The VIN will start with ZHU.

Yep, that's the stamp on the stem. I tried searching the VIN when I first got the bike and couldn't find a thing! You said CR125s weren't imported to North America. That explains why the only info/pics I can find are from Finland, Norway, Sweden. I need to call Hall's and see what they say.
