Hey guys I have what I think is a 96 WXE 266, correct me if I wrong. It needs a rear brake assembly and I cant find parts for this model anywhere. If anyone wants to look up the serial# on the forks for info id appreciate it. DGM 53254 OM 4A. Thanks.
I believe they were called 260s no? nice find, they were small open class bikes for FIM cc displacement rules, I believe. Serial number is the best way to ID frame and engine
I don't know anything about the year breaks of the older bikes, but there is a rear brake setup on ebay from a '91 260 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1991-Husqva...Parts_Accessories&hash=item487b6f8bd2&vxp=mtr
the rear brakes from many years will fit this, i am pretty sure yours has the Brembo brakes look at your front brakes to be sure
That bike looks to me like a 1992. The upside down 45 showas are the first hint. The swing arm is the next one. The white fork guards were only used in 1992 as well. The non adjustable preload fork caps also point to 1992 since 93 & 94 had adjustable caps. The correct brakes for that bike would have been Nissins. The 1992-1994 huskys used Nissin brakes so any of those would work.
good eye that is a 92 chassis square swingarm with the kick stand mounted to it my 92 had the adjuster caps on the forks when i got it, not sure why, probably because they are handy my guess is the cylinder was replaced with the 93 to 96 type by the casting number, the power valve was a little different, but,,,, i could be wrong and the casting moved forward, but it would seem odd as the exhaust is radically different my bet is 93 to 96 cylinder honeybadger, take a look at your exhaust and see if it goes over the manifold on the cylinder or into it
wxe just means a headlight and taillight basically. otherwise same bike..both have lighting capability..250 and 360 should have same chassis if you are looking for those brakes..
