So, I have been holding off all summer to get my TE-610's suspension done until the snow started to fly. I did my research and determined that ACE has a great reputation and was not too far away. Spoke with them over the summer and everything just clicked. Fast forward to today. Snow is flying and it looks like another long winter here in SW PA. I figure now would be a slow time for suspension shops right before Christmas and went to their web site. "Sorry folks, no longer doing suspension work". Now I am again looking for a shop to set up my suspension for eastern rocks and mud. Any recommendations?
I don't lnow of anyone that has been disappointed with Les (LTR). They are also a sponsor here and have made a lot of contributions to the Husky community. http://www.lt-racing.com/
Check out http://www.werproducts.net/Suspension-Service.html He's not too far from you either.Drew has been doing this for years and his work is excellent.
A second for Drew Smith/WER. He is a sponsor on this site and a great suspension shop. I've been using Drew since A.C.E. closed shop. Bottones is also sending al their work to Drew.
I was very pleased with what ACE did for my 06 TE Husky's suspension. Stinks they're not doing suspenders any more. I've used Bruce's Suspension out of NC for my 06 WR. I actually just ordered some stuff from him and did it myself but he was extremely helpful over the phone. I've also heard good things about WER.
Another ACE guy that has chosen WER. Great service and superior work. Call Drew....he too is a Sponsor here and an true "Ambassador" to the off road world wide.
I have had LT-Racing.com do several of my bikes and LOVE the work he does. Have heard nothing but good things about WER as well.
Before you decide you may want to price shipping. That can get expensive. Obviously WER & LTR are both fantastic shops and both advertise on cafe husky.
Shipping is cheap i use to ship my suspention from southern calif to FBF in Penn round trip with insurance for about 30 dollars Go get a cheap gun case put you suspention in it and ship it As for FBF they did great for me they have contact with the factory teams in europe and know all the new set ups .The master mine of Husky suspention is Peadro from the marzoke factory .Peadro is friends with Eraldo at FBF .Peadro came out to calif spent some time with the Zip Ty Racing team and now Ty has access to the factory setting .Since the Zip Ty team is just down the road from me i go there now
Gun case is a good thing as the brown clowns can treat your goods like the Samsonite Monkey. Rates are about the same anywhere in the USA but I have noticed stuff from the NE to the PNW or TX seem to take like 7-10 shipping time alone where Cali or the middle states and the SE take only a day or 2. If you want minimum down time...plan and adjust accordingly. Joe
Drew (WER) did the suspension on my '09 Wr 250 last winter. I could not be more pleased with his work. I sent the package on Tuesday and had everything back by Sat. He even took the time to call and ask about riding skill level and terrain.
