• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here something different for you. The UK importer took a SMR450 and built this:

On a more 'Off Road' note, here is my friends Race Team Truck 'MPS Husqvarna'. They compete in WEC, UEM (European Enduro Champs) & BEC (British Enduro Champs).
MPS1.jpg

Its ideal for Timecard Enduro as the trailer stays at the Pits and the Tractor Unit goes to the Outcheck. It has onboard tool storage and can carry the full team and support crew in the cab. The trailer carries 4 bikes in the workshop and sleeps 8 with a kitchen/sitting area and shower/toilet. Luxury indeed! :D

How dose this bike stacks against the original motard version I wonder?
That transport rig is awesome, really styling…:applause:

Having rode a motard on a road race track a few times, that bike would be way better. I can go into most corners made for cars and big bikes WFO on a 650 Husaberg but I suffer on the straights and have aerodynamic stability issues in big fast sweepers. The head low riding position will get the CG closer to the track and more weight over the front, the fairing will help it go more than 110, the speed that the Husaberg seemed to not be able to break.

Heres the rig with the awning out and the Union Jack and the great flag of Yorkshire flying!

Can a WR250 be a riders taxi?

And Anders in 07 on the 510. He got a belly full of mucky water in the 510 the day before which put him out of the day. The following day they kept filling it up with oil as it was blowing out past the rings between tests! Seb Guillame's WR300 behind him.

Wow. Incredible how some canvas can be set up to make a huge semi-enclosed room. Nice.

Very nice set-up!

I can get one of those enclosures for the awning on my van, too. Pleasure-Way calls a Florida Room.

Its great at night as you can sleep out in there. In the day its a meeting place and during racing its a workshop area that keeps people from getting in the way and its a great sunshelter when in Europe (we dont get much sun in the UK, its a rain shelter here!)lol

There's a effort here by Roland Sands and a few friends to start a 450 Motard-based spec road-racing series. Approved bikes so far are Honda/Yamaha/Kawi, I think. Last I heard they have exibition races lined up for some of the AMA pro events.

i talked to roland at the last show and asked him if they were going to let euro bikes in on the 450 class, he said yes, husky and ktm welcome. i was under the impression that they were going to be running at some WERA events this year. but i haven't seen a schedule yet.:thumbsup:

I would imagine they would be really fun to ride, especially with the better handling afforded by the roadracer geometry, but I wouldn't think they'd be fun to race. I mean, they are still small-displacement singles on big racetracks. Does WERA still race at Grattan? It might be fun there, but I can't imagine racing one of them on a big horsepower track like Willow Springs or Road Atlanta or Brainerd.
