With the recent hike in gas prices I've began riding the 610 on the street a lot more. Back and forth to work and on little around town errands. I'm really enjoying the riding so much that I started taking it out for some Saturday morning fun:applause:. Suddenly it dawns on me that this is not only the best dual sport bike that I've ever had, it's one of the best bikes of any kind. It's not the fastest thing I've ever owned nor is it the most comfortable cruiser on the planet but it certainly is one of the best handling bikes I've ever been on and it has more than enough power to keep the fun meter pegged. I can cruise the hwy at 70 plus all day and still ample power for passing, very few vehicles can keep up in 100 yd. dash so the stop light grand prix is a blast. All manner of holigan action is ready for the taking if you're so inclined and really with a little better seat than what the factory offfers you can ride down the hwy. for hrs on end in relative comfort.
I park right outside my office and still after all these years find myself gazing lovingly out the window at my favorite toy. I've said it before and still believe that 610 is one of the most under rated machines on the road.:applause:

I have to admit I almost lost the love last year. I don't know why. I was really on the fence about selling my TE630 and I hadn't even owned it 6 months. It has been rekindled this year, though! I'm out riding again and loving it.

I own four pretty interesting motorcycles and my SM610 gets more riding time than the other three combined. :D

My parents and younger brother came for a visit, so naturally and despite my moms disapproval I gave my brother my gear and the keys to the almighty :D

This is the first time I actually see the 610sm with a rider on it coming towards me (outside my neighbor, but I was somewhat busy playing in traffic on his DRZsm while he was on my 610 behind me...)
But anyway, looking at my brother coming back on my dark gray 610sm, all my inner feelings were confirmed, this bike has got to be one of the best looking motorcycles ever to be built on the face of this plant !!!

It is incredibly beautiful, on the verge of being slightly erotic.....
......yeah.......well that’s just how I feel about it
