I might have gotten bad info as one web site reported stew crashed but he was in the overall results so maybe it was just bad info or something else ...Not sure exactly but the results on vitalMX show a different and very interesting results sheets ... Maybe all riders will race again next week :) ...

Stewart tweeked his knee in the last practice... He raced, but not sure where he ended up....

Can't believe RV1 got 16th.... He had a ROUGH race...

Congrats to Millsaps and Canard They both freaking ROCKED it!

Ain't it cool! ... TC41 I'm sure is very happy (me to) and Millsaps steps up to be the man! ... Seems like Mills made a move last yr in some racing but I can't remember ... It might have been in the MX season but having all this new blood and the current champ so far out of it is really gonna make next week race, a real race ... :)

I fumbled around trying to get the software installed to view it and it was over well before I even realized it ...

    Shorty 6th I think ... yea!!

We gotta have some stew this yr! ... sx and MX....

Very good racing!! Stewart I think got 8th not bad since he was riding in a lot of pain...It's going to be an awesome series...thats forshure. A lot more Suzukis in the 450 class this yr. I've never seen Millsaps ride so smoothly. Just great racing last night.

Lets just hope they stay healthy all season ..

If stew is not the toughest rider in the history of modern sx (and MX) racing, I don't know who is ...He has hit the ground so many times and almost always gets up ... I saw him once crash at the start of one straight-away, get up, and crash again on the same straight and get up again ...

Since RC3 rode the suz into the history books, I'm read more than one that it is the best bike out there ...

What about RD5? Did RV2 crash? If so, he has crashed 3 times in his last 4 races ...

And these races were all on youtube about 2-3 days after race day last yr ...

I watched the season opener with new respect for guys like Milsaps, Weimer, Grant, etc after watching "The Moto". One of the announcers stated that there were probably 15 guys who SHOULD finish in the top 10 - and that pretty much sums up the racing. RC needs to find another job - a great racer who just makes a fool of himself and the sport as an announcer - maybe one of those over-the-top enthusiastic Brit guys like those who do WSB.
Stewart was still the fastest (in practice) but Reed and Dungey and RV have shown they can run with him - and now Milsaps, Canard, and Barcia are there too. 7 "aliens" in SX should make for an interesting season.

Thats a lot of racers all pointed at the top ... Starts are gonna be very very important as the days of a guy with a bad start making his way to the top is gonna be very hard if not almost impossible ..

    RC3 is a team owner now ...

    What happened to Hot Sauce?

This is RD5 kicking cr22 off the podium on the last corner ... And its a clean, All-American type pass!

I respectfully disagree... Ya, he stumbled over his words a few times, but I enjoy hearing his take on things.. He is rooted deep in the sport, and is funny at times... I enjoy him being an announcer.

Totally agree, i found him funny and as usual a super nice guy. Fro was an absolute idiot when they first handed him the mic, he is doing far better now. Thought the whole thing was very entertaining and the results got me out of my seat and cheering. Love how none of the top guys but Dungy made it to the podium, going to be a fun year of racing.

I was not watching so much when RC3 was winning every race a few yrs back, but it had to be a little over the top seeing him win every race ...

Maybe under the top or boring might be a better way of saying it ...

Youtube has the race online now ... RC3, to me sounded better than last yr because he did not smooch any one specific riders butt like he has in the past on occasion ... Not that I even watch the games any more and would they a single nickel, but the nfl is the absolute worst for picking out a player and talk about him the entire game like he is some sort of god and no one else exists in the game ...

These races are so fast, so much action happening at the same time, all over the track, it can't be easy to call all that action ... Plus the camera can't keep up with it , like in the case of JB51 crash or the RD5 fall-over(?) , so I guess they just have to be watching monitors and the track at the same time to keep up with it ...

This is my take on the race:
Only travis Pastranna predicted this. Milsaps dominated when he was on 250's but seems like he has just been showing for a paycheck until now. Not a fluke, he was fast in practice, qualifying and main. When TC passed him close to the end I was thinking he made it longer than I thought, but then he put on a charge that looked more like RC or Stewart to get it back.
Trey Canard, the smile on his face on the podium was the best thing I have seen in a long time! I had doubts if he could come back from 3 serious injuries, but I am so happy for him.
Ryan Dungey, The pace by the top four was so close that no one could make much ground, Ryan was doing what he does best, be consistent and make a push at the end. The others didn't fade or make mistakes, maybe forcing Dungey to push even harder and he washed out the front end. I did not see Barcia fall, but he looked pretty solid.
James Stewart, fast in practice, but same old story, tweeked his knee, but to his credit went out and raced in pain, was steady and got some points.
Chad Reed, He was consistent but maybe off the pace, and he is searching for answers both for him as a rider and bike set up. I think he will continue to improve as season goes on.
Ryan Villipoto, Got a bad start, and was in too big of a hurry to catch up in went down and off too many times to remember. He will be back with a vengeance, and win his share, but the field is stacked....
Those are the guys that stood out in my mind, and I was shocked in the post race when they interviewed Jake Weimer for fifth place, he did it so quietly I did not even realize he was in the race.
Hopefully most stay healthy, and we will be in for a great year, I am shopping for tickets for atlanta!
