I'm a new dirt rider, middle aged and no illusions about a late racing career. I am considering the TE 450. After alot of reading I'm still confused.

Is there significant worth to the 2010 suspension changes, including head geometry and better(?) frame construction to justify the additional cost? Any other factors I should consider?

    Thanks for the help.

in my opinion, dont get too worked up about the different forks for 2010 or the shorter swingarm.the bike was very good in 2009,i have not been convinced yet that the 2010 te 450 forks are better.dan

09 or 10 you would be happy with ether there all great bikes, At 41 years old my first Husky was a 06 TE250 great bike just not a great duel sport if you are going to spend any time on the road. I sold it to buy a TE610 and in my opinion the 610 is the most under rated dirt bike that can do 75 on the freeway all day long. I did 200 + miles this past week end in the AZ desert on road/off road/sand and rocks and never felt the 610 was too heavy or hard too handle.

    Just my two cents.

This really needs to go no further. You question has been answered.

Even if you were a very experienced rider I feel you would still have a hard time telling them apart.

Ditto with the above. If you are only socially riding the 09 Mazzoks were really good for joe average. The price difference will be substantial and will allow you to bling a bit and still pocket some change.

I think that there is a factory rebate $1500 on 09s. I saw TE450 on Craigs with 133 miles for $5500
