I can pick up a new 2009 wr 300 for a grand less than the 2010 and 1500 less than the 2011. Already has updated plastics on it per dealer. Are the kayaba forks and supposed different pipe worth the extra money? Help me decide please !

I think for $1500 you could make an '09 a better bike for you than a stock '11.

I don't have an answer for you, but we just picked up a brand new `09 WR250 and have lots of $$ to spare :)

If the 09 is $5K or less, I'd go for it. The differences between the years is minor and unless you're chasing contingency bucks, I wouldn't worry about it.

The 09 is an incredible bike as is. Best I ever owned. 1500 will get you some nice bling.

Try the 09 forks...you might like them. If not, you have $1500 to spare for a suspension job!

I got a good deal on a 09 wr250, added pipe, bark busters, pulled off the stickers before they fell off, and adjusted the suspension. I love the bike, works great in the tight woods and open trails. Use the $1500 for aftermarket parts and race gas!

I bought an 09 wr 250 and plan to get the suspension done by LTR as soon as it's broken in, also buy a skid plate, hand guards, rad guards and maybe a pipe guard. At that point I'll bet it will be better than 2010 or a 2011 for the same or less money.
