Thats been floating around for a few months now. Its real and because of the overwhelming response is happening. Should be 2016 model but maybe late 2016. We will see. Lots to do between now and then. That bike would sell like crazy here. If they can really make that thing 340 pounds they will have a winner.

And yes, many of them. I am closely involved with the importer and AJP has been around for 27 years and is a great company of enthusiasts doing some really cool things. The PR5 model has become one of my favorite off rod bikes ever for my woods riding here.

For the most part but I think it's produced under another manufacturer.

I've been waiting for them to do something in the Dual Sport area, and looks like they will. Hope they have the sub-frame designed to carry racks for soft bags. Fuel fill under the seat will be a real pain though. Another thing would be factory provisions for mounting and powering a GPS, etc., without having to remove tank and plastic to access the battery and wire loom.

The XT Engine is dead relaible, but its a bit heavy...
For a dual sport bike it might be perfect- it has tourqe and it will last forever...

Kelly, make sure to get in the ears of AJP about the sub frame concerns etc. If they can run the exhaust a little higher like the Gas Gas Rally bike that would be better for DS log crossing's etc.

BTW there is a steel subframe on the rear so mounting points for racks and stuff should not be an issue.

    Great looking bike for sure.
It has some very nice components.
    Love that rally type fairing:)

A six speed trans is the main thing that is missing IMO.

    Cool bike.

With a torque engine a 5 speed is probably enough. It is on the Terra.

I'm still concerned about rack attachment. The frame looks very clean down around the pegs and brake cylinder. Need access to the sub frame mounts to fix the rack lower strut. Maybe there is something behind the plastic, but I wish they would take care of this for us. How many will race this bike? Many more will use it for adventure touring. Think ahead AJP.

I agree that the 5 speed would be more than adequate for TR type duty but the PR 7 is much more off road capable and a 6 speed could allow a low first gear without sacrificing as much comfortable cruising speed IMO.
I have ridden Bills (BMP) TR enough to get to know it. It is a great bike. :)

Agreed; a lower first gear would be great to have. I have the TR one tooth down on the counter shaft and it's just barely enough, requiring a bit of clutch work some times. I guess I have to stand corrected. However, I doubt they will give us a 6 speed box, like on the TE 630.

You cant imagine the level of thought going into this bike. They nailed the mark on the other bikes, think they will again. They really seem to get it.

Next thing you will be wanting me to make a trip up to my old home of Vancouver (La Center) to buy a PR 7!
