Robert My quick story after going to a High school graduation Thursday night in Temecula I drove 100 miles home Then got in my van and drove another 800 miles to Snowville UT Which is 100 miles north of Salt Lake city Great place about 3000 feet in the short trees and open fields. There were 477 riders who signed up. They started the Pros Experts and the am all at one time across a 1 mile plowed field and then into the trees. The dust was so bad I could not see a thing, I saw at least 25 guys on the ground on the first 32 mile loop who had hit something in the dust . I went slow and just rode carefully waiting for the harder loop 2 and less dust. Out onto loop 2 I went. Moto Tally shows I passed 47 riders of which 4 were in my class. About 1/2 thru the 40 mile 2nd loop it started to rain and then I got to do better with no dust. At the end of loop 2 I was told loop 3 was closed. That turned out to have been a mistake and I along with a lot of other people did not do loop 3, I could have passed a few more guys I still felt great . But it is what it and there is always next year As for Mr Ohare I had put a few min back on him on loop 2 and was about a min behind at the finish. I would have looked forward to racing with him on loop 3 but he and I did not get to go out on 3.Robert, OHare has not beat me once this year. Still always a good rider on my tail at each event. I felt so good at the finish with my new Zip Ty Racing Nutrution program. That I packed up and at 3.33pm hit the road for home and 800 miles later I Pulled into the driveway at 5.30 am Sunday morning. Still feeling good. So cleaned the bike and started to prep for Last dog Standing next weekend. I am still 3rd overall in the National standing with 2 more races to go
Nat H&H sometimes dusty but open enough to see up in the D37 zone...my worst dust scenario and almost caused me stop was one Tecate HS riding on single track with high bushes into a wall of dust, so Im sure what you got on this one was the same type thing, the dust just hanging in with zero visibility. I did same just slow way down to safe speed and wait until everyone spread out and slowly picked up my speed to match conditions. The O'Hara thing is a wind up effort on my part to keep you motivated!!! LDS....you are unbelievable be safe out there and have fun, we will be on a laid back LAMC trail ride in Baja.
