Rd 9 was held in Panaca Nevada which is 150 miles north east of Las Vegas close to the Nevada /Utha border. It was 102 miles point to point from Panaca to Calinte
Kurt Cassille Factory KTM won which also wrapped up the #1 plate next year.
Biggest factory this year was the WEATHER Start was dry then 100 yards into the race the sky open and it rained and hailed. Then there were flash floods, then dry and dusty followed by rain again close to the finish.

Just talked with local crew member, Steve G from C&D Cycle said this was the caziest weather he had ever ridden in, from flooded river beds to dust, from sun to clouds, from rain to hail stones. Epic race.
Steve is within 1 point of his competitor for the 2013 Nat 40B class championship to be decided at the final round. Win or lose the 40B #1 plate.

John you lead 174 to 152 with 1 race left, but the final is the 100s race .
How does this work?? You can race your clubs race as long as you are not a course stewart correct?
  4. ajaxauto Husqvarna

I can race it as long as I do not work to set it up BUT I am always loop captain and a lot of people look forward to racing our race because we as a club try hard to make it one of the best. With that being said the guy in second place would have to finish first place 30 points or second place 25 points because 3rd would only be 21 points and that is not enough . Other then this last race in Panaca where he is a local guy out of Vegas has he ever beat me. For 2 years worth of Nationals never beat me but he had a great race and won I had a 36 point lead so had I done a little better it would have been over. So do I work my club race like a club member and make the 100s National one of the best Or make others in our club do what I was to do so I can go race .Or take the chance he will not do better then 3rd and I would win the National # 1 plate on a 2010 WR300 which does not quality for any Husky Bucks
There are a lot of local Dist 37 Mag experts I need to talk into racing our race bring some out of retirement. Lets just say lets stack the deck if he can beat the local boys on our turf well then he should be the winner OK Robert you are 50 now come help out a buddy lets see you race the 100s National Lets just see how big we can make the class. I will do the same bet I made with you last year
Then again I could just say screw it and go race Oct 12 is coming time will tell N1m would look good on a new Blue and White Husky/Husaberg
Worse case I still have N2m no matter what But at 57 time is running out Paul Krause turns 50 in 13 months then it is really over

So are you and the San Diego gang coming to the 100s National

    John,
My fall (training) plan is to show and go and keep my support of the always epic 100s MC yearly trek going . I will race 50A class on my ZipTy TXC310R, maybe I'll even go to 13/50 gear instead of my regular 13/52 for this event. Count me in, maybe I can convince some of my other 50 yo compadres to join the fun.

Heres the mass mail Isent out to world
100's MC National Hare and hound, Johnson Valley. 13OCT2013

I need to do this one* (by request).
We need as many 50+ riders to sign as A riders (experts) as possible for this one.

The Irish battle Kearney (Husky) vs O'Hara (KTM)
The State battle Kearney (Ca.) vs O'Hara (Nev)
The Marque Battle Husky vs KTM,
the last "real" Husky....before Husky is another KTM clone.

Massimo, Reed??? Others? Dez race anyone?

Even Yamaha and Honda etal riders are more than welcome to join the fun.

    * my Husky bro John Kearney (ZipTy/Ohlins WR300) is in a tight battle with one other guy (O'Hara KTM) for the 50A Nat championship, but he is a dedicated 100's MC trail captain/layout guy, so he cannot (or chooses not to) do this race.
I still think he should standdown from his club responsibility in this case ( but he is a dedicated club first guy)
He is hoping for a good group of 50A riders to beat his rival to maintain his championship points lead.

Every 100s MC Nat. I've done has been grueling, L1 is usually a good dez trail ride, L2 has some rockier tougher stuff and L3 really breaks down the good from the very good (there is usually mental and physical pain involved)
When you finish you feel a great sense of accomplishment.

PS Steve G from C&D is in a win or lose battle for the Nat #1 in the 40B class, so this event will determine his season as
