Been raining all day here. Actual rain -- enough to get you wet. Conditions could be very interesting....
Looks like it will be relatively dry the next couple of days which should make conditions perfect. You can't go wrong with the WR 250 no matter what and with a lot of pretty high speed stuff it might be a better fit. 13x49 gearing on my 167 is way to low for that terrain.
Results -- 1. Casseli 2. Argubright 3. Abbott 4. Pearson David Kamo and Nick Burson both DNF'd early in the race from mechanical issues. Not really sure why. Saw both bikes and there were no obvious signs of any issues. Spent some time with Nick's dad. Very nice man and working hard to make his son's race go smoothly. Disappointing for Husky for sure.
It was perfect race conditions except for the wind, and actually even the wind was fine for racing, just annoying for getting dressed, spectating, signups, etc.... ajaxauto caught me in a sandwash 5-6 miles in and I followed him for a couple miles before getting back around him. I was riding my old kx (which worked perfectly btw) since my wr300 is currently sick with a bottom-end-bearing issue of some kind that happened in the last race. I think running it for 3 days with almost no coolant on a campout with boisedave last summer might not have been a good idea.
They just posted the unofficial results. Looks like you got me now you have to come down to So Calif so i can try again this time in my local area in the rocks .Anyway it is all for fun which i had a lot of, wish i knew it was you so i could have tryied harder. I am how 2nd in points for the Nationals if i can just keep up my record of never having a DNF i just might pull off another National #1 or # 2 ofcourse always on a HUSKY
