This weeken is round 2 of the AMA National at Red Mt Calif.
Early press shows Shane Watts to race KTM 150 I hope Husky is watching because if he does well We might just see those CR 144
state side or even a new CR 150 .Lets see TY Davis former National
125 rider go at it on Husky 144

The return of the little 2 stroke is coming Boy that be great to see
a little 2 stroke finish up front even if it is the wrong color

At least my 2 Cr 125s will be there

From what I am hearing through the rumour mill, CANADA is getting 2010 CR144s. Whether they are 125s with 144kits in the box or true 144s remains to be seen.

I sent a Email to Mark Brady ,Scot Harden,Travis Flowers and Rob Keith
asking about a factory CR 144 .I said if there was one avalible i would love to purchase one .I would then take it to Ty Davis for some
set up and race mods Plus maybe we could even work on the big tank .Everyone returned my email and said that sounds good and we will let you know
So lets hope Shane Watts does real well this weeken and Husky see the return of the little bike is at hand .If this old man on a stock Husky 125 can win a # 1 plate against the open class in the desert 2 years ago just think what a good young rider could do

What does this mean? Is a TRUE 144 stroked or something? Or, are you just saying preinstalled? Factory 144 kits will be in the states this week.

Probably means a motror that was made to be a 144, not a bored out 125. I would settle for the later but you do get huge ports and fast ring wear from one. I think both the KTM and TM factory 144 use a slightly longer stroke then a 125. Maybe it is optimal?

The factory has a 144 kit so it is not like they would bore and 125 to build this. Unless there is a stroke change a 125 with a 144 kit and a factory 144 should be the same thing no. I suppose there could be a factory 144 with a unique pipe and ignition or some other tuning parts.

I personally wish they would just bite the bullet and bring out a full 200cc 6 speed bike with a 3.2 gallon tank. The sales would be huge.

That race is going to be great...and a great race for anything under 200cc 2-stk.
    Go Wattsy!

    Kelly,

Maybe Husky will add the 200 when they re-work the 250/300. They would have to do some major case/crank modifications to get more stroke out of the current 125 configuration.

What is the chance of getting a 144 kit expedited to me by early next week? Would love to try it out on my trip south the end of this month.

To tell you the truth my CR 125 works great but is getting old and no Husky Bucks .Since there is talk of a new bike and the fact i need one why not go 144 or 150 Plus for AMA Dist 37 racing the class is 0 to 200
and if you are over 30 it is 0 to 250 .Not to many 125 being make so
i guest the thought of something new has got us going .
Also the idea of a world class racer comming all the way to so calif to race our Desert National on a 150 is another reason to talk new 144 or 150 . As for the midget coment Husky is a very tall bike for a 125
My son is 6 ft 3 and has no problem on it
Bottom line just look at all the responce this thread had got in just a few hours so lets hope Husky is watching

Sorry ajax, I was half heartedly joking. I'm 6'3", 225 and I know the Husky's fit big guys well. You just don't see to many people racing 125's at any of the races I do. I do think it would sell ok though. Based on what I see in SETRA I think a 200 would sell better. And I really like the idea of a 350F. Exciting times for sure.

Thats my thoughts exactly. Im 6ft 210lb and I just dont think a small bore 2t will pull the fat boys well.
