Here's all I can find currently on the post-race interviews .. Interviews start at the ~10:00 mark. View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXryXPvqToM -- I gotta go with KR94 also ... That whip move could have been very disastrous for not only the 2 riders in the air but also anyone following them that would have to land their bikes on the same receiver. The ama should step in (whether we hear about it or not) and let him not that is not allowed on the PRO level. Same as the ama had to do with Stew a few yrs back when he was just about out of control on the track doing amateur, dangerous moves. (Stew might have been on probation ... Can't quite remember ..) And yes Stew crashed more than 1 other person in those days. Some racing moves, some out-of-control BS... When he put his front tire in RC4 back, it was a little of both I'd guess. When he crashed Kub in LV a few yrs back, probably just racing too hard. CR22 does not luv him either, for good reasons. -- Lets take a quick look at JB51 short 450 racing career ... And please, do not shoot the messenger here. I just look at previous events (history) as an indicator as to what is happening today. Feel free to point out any mistakes. 1) During last yrs racing, JB51 raced his team mate, TC41, very hard a few times. I understand hard racing. I understand team mates also. I'm just under the impression you race a team mate ~cleaner than a non-teammate. Maybe not? 2) KR94 handed JB his butt at last yrs MXdN, and KR94 was on a 250 ... 3) JB is in 7th place currently. Why the big fall off? Does this young man have an attitude problem? (yep, I sound like an old guy! And for good reason, I am an old guy) 4) JB makes a very dangerous move on the track because he was raced hard? If you can't handle hard racing, should you be a racer? Just my thoughts but is this guy gonna be a #800 type rider for his career? I saw this 800 rider crash a guy the same way once with about the same move on a track once ... It was him or a member of his clan...Can't quit remember ... But it was one of them. 800 was fast in the distance past and now gets plenty of camera time as he is being lapped... I certainly hope JB gets his act together and races well for yrs and does not become just another side-show that the adult racers on the track have to content with.
I gotta agree with ya Ray, JB is a punk. He could get away with it possibly if he was winning but barely getting a top ten, NOT. But it gonna take someone putting him in the tough blocks to get it through his thick skull, lol.
JB has been riding a lot nicer since stepping up to the big boy class. That move was tasteless but not all that uncommon for many riders. Saw a picture from another angle and he was not that close to KR. Big fall off? I dont see it that way. He is in 7th with the top riders on the world as a newbie to the big guy class that is super stacked with talent this year. He has many times had the fastest lap times. He is right there. I think most would be elated at those results. I expected more of Tomac. I am not for the AMA to over regulate racing into something boring. Let the teams file for infractions when they deem necessary and let it be. This is racing at the top level with very aggressive athletes.
I expected more of Tomac also. I also agree that we don't need the AMA to get involved everytime there's a scuffle - more meddling leads to less of all things good. These guys are like fighter pilots so let them be fighter pilots.
Barcia, despite his HUGE talent, is still a bit of a punk. He's still young. He's a bit disrespectfull to the competition and it will bite him eventually, someone will clean his clock good when they are good and sick of his crap. The list of his unnecessary antics goes on and on, this was just the latest. Earlier in the night, he stuffed Tomac when contact wasn't necessary. Earlier in the year he took Roczen's front wheel badly, sent him down hard and knew he was doing it. Absolutely KILLED Trey Canard at a foreign SX this year (paris I think). Canard the nice guy was not impressed. At his first 450 national in '11 he cross-jumped Dungey very dangerously at southwick. Did the same thing to Roczen in '12 indoors. Then there was the little fit he through and he ROOSTED A DOWNED RIDER AND THE MEDIC. Crashed in Bercy, then waited for a rider to come around and then block-stuffed him then ran away afterwards when that guy (arnaud tonus I think) stepped up to slap him for the move. The list goes on. He's more than aggressive, he disrespectfull of general safety and thoughtless, and he'll cry like a baby (remember the 250sx lapper incident? Tears!) when his turn comes and someone cleans his clock. I'm not hating on Barcia I enjoy watching him ride. Just telling it like it is. It's easy to forget how much BS he has pulled. Edit: It was Greg Aranda not Tonus. JB did get taken by a squirrely racing incident but then goes all poor sport and wrecks the race then won't back it up. Weak.
